Craft Beer in Barcelona

La Cerveteca

Where: Near the old town of Barcelona. A nice corner location among the narrow alleyways in the old town. See map.

Why you should visit:  If you want craft beer in Barcelona, this is the place to go.  It’s in the center of the city and near to some major sights if you’re doing a walking tour of the city.  Great place to stop in and enjoy a craft beer.

Overall Comments:  It reminded me of something you’d see in the US, in particular a place we used to go to in Greenpoint, Brooklyn that functioned both as a store where you could buy carry out beer as well as a bar where you could sit down and have a draft beer.  There was a great selection of local bottled Catalonian beers, international craft beers,  as well as a few draft beers as well.  We loved spending time in Barcelona drinking wine and hanging out at the tapas bars, but it was a refreshing change to stop in for a pint of beer after walking miles around the city.  Visited in February 2012
