There are some amazing hidden stores underneath the railway arches! If you follow the rail tracks east from the Maltby street market, you’ll come across a number of other businesses selling meats, cheeses, jams, coffee, etc.

All you have to do is weave your way in and out of the alleyways (heading East from Maltby St market away from the Shard Building), continuing to follow the railway arches. Stick with that plan and you are guaranteed to stumble upon other vendors.

Below – Bermondsey location of Monmouth Coffee open from 9:30am until 1pm, which will save you from waiting in all the lines (i.e.”queues”) that regularly form at their Borough Market location.

See map below for specific addresses. If you are traveling from central London, your best option is the Jubilee or Northern line to the London Bridge tube stop. Alternatively, walk over the Tower Bridge and Stop #1 is only a short walk away.

I’ve been to London a few times and have never spent much time in that area or taken the time to visit breweries. I love breweries, I’ve just not made visiting them in other countries a habit.
