Living Abroad in London

London Life

It’s normal to have an ideal, almost fairytale type of picture in your head when you think about living in a new city and country.

I definitely felt that way about living abroad in London.  I pictured old beautiful things, pubs, castles, quaint canals, royalty and a completely new life, void of all negativity. The world at my fingertips, so to speak.

The reality is slightly different. I’d by lying if I said that every day was a brand new fantastic day and that my opinion hasn’t slightly changed now, just 10 months in, through dealing with the everyday realities of living in a new culture.

However, it is an amazing opportunity. If you have the chance to do it, seize it! Don’t look back.

It is a life changing experience. What you do with it is up to you.

Recently I lived abroad in London and traveled to 20+ countries within two years! As of January 2014, I'm back in the USA, and currently living in Charlotte, NC. But before all of that, my roots were set in small town America, where I spent the first 23 years of my life living, going to school, and working in the state of Pennsylvania.
