About Tanya

I’m a freelance travel and beer writer and a passionate and energetic 30 something - determined to enjoy life and see as much as possible along the way. Recently I lived abroad in London and traveled to 20+ countries within two years! As of January 2014, I'm back in the USA, and currently living in Charlotte, NC. But before all of that, my roots were set in small town America, where I spent the first 23 years of my life living, going to school, and working in the state of Pennsylvania.

The commune of Lake Como, Italy is probably best known for its scenic views, ornate Italian villas, chic shopping streets and perhaps more recently – George Clooney. We visited last weekend for a friend’s wedding, complete with lake-side water taxis to quaint small villages and an eight-hour wedding/ reception in a 16th century villa on […]

A large, global metropolitan city, London has a population of over 8,000,000 residents. Previously having lived in New York City, the fast-paced life of both cities convey similarities. Culturally, however, there’s a few differences. None of these differences are life changing or really that important at all in the scope of things!  But when I do […]

I love Italy! The culture, people, food, and overall resonance of the Italian language infiltrates a permanent smile on my face every time I travel within the country. Since Jim and I moved to London almost a year and a half ago, we’ve seized the opportunity to travel to Italy whenever we get the chance […]
