Favorite Places

List open to change at any time as I travel to new cities!! – But so far, here are my favorite places for cycling throughout Europe.

1.)  COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – known as one of the most “bicycle-friendly” cities in the world.  See my Copenhagen Experience post on this.

Copenhagen

2.) BARCELONA, SPAIN – we rented bicycles while we were visiting Barcelona and managed to see parts of the city we never would have seen on foot. Lots of bicycle lanes and signs throughout the city.

3.) BERLIN, GERMANY – we took a cycling tour here with 20 other people. See my post on this.

Berlin cycling

4.) KENT, UNITED KINGDOM – we brought our bicycles on the train and explored the English countryside. There was an old rail trail from Canterbury up to Whitstable. There’s also an entire Kent tourist website devoted to cycling routes and ways to explore the Kent area by bike.

About Tanya

I’m a freelance travel and beer writer and a passionate and energetic 30 something - determined to enjoy life and see as much as possible along the way. Recently I lived abroad in London and traveled to 20+ countries within two years! As of January 2014, I'm back in the USA, and currently living in Charlotte, NC. But before all of that, my roots were set in small town America, where I spent the first 23 years of my life living, going to school, and working in the state of Pennsylvania.
